Disney Hall Debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic

Inon Barnatan makes his return to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, taking the stage at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Thursday, May 26 and Friday, May 27 for his debut concerts at the orchestra’s home venue. He performs Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 17 under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel, as part of a program that also includes Bill Viola’s Inverted Birth and two works by Arvo Pärt: Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten and Symphony No. 4, “Los Angeles”.
The Los Angeles Times praised Inon’s “imaginative, animated” 2014 rendition of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 22 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, elaborating to say that “He has a sharp wit to go along with his marvelously varied touch, a melting, rhetorical way of closing a phrase, pointing out every detail in the finale with impish delight that was clear to all from his expressions on the giant video screens.”
